I fell in love with chipotle spice a few years ago when I came across a recipe from Primal Palate for braised short ribs. It was done deal from that moment forward… chipotle and me would have a life long relationship! This spice is one of the main ingredients of this chicken rub recipe.
While away in my homeland Quebec, I always enjoy cooking with my nieces and nephews. This summer we created and cooked an amazing BBQ feast. As usual for me, everything was made from scratch so this gave me a great opportunity to teach my kiddos what real food tastes like and how easy it is. We spent time together and had fun! What else can I ask for??
Sweet and Smokey Chicken Rub Recipe
This chicken rub recipe is a creation so we can have a little spice with some sweetness on our BBQ can chicken… yup can chicken. This cooking technique requires the use of can (some people will use a beer can but in my case, I emptied the beer can and refilled with apple cider ). Click here to see my “how to” recipe for BBQ chicken.
Now onto the sweet and smokey rub that we can create for BBQ chicken. Lots of spice and a little bit of sweetness and you’ve got it!
