Healthy Breakfast Sausage Recipe

It can be hard to eat the same things over and over again, so I created my healthy breakfast sausage recipe to take the guesswork out of the daily grind.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pasture raised ground pork
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp sage
  • 1 tsp fennel
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp. lard or coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Ina medium size bowl mix together pork, salt, pepper, sage, fennel, garlic and paprika.Knead with hands until thoroughly incorporated. Form into 8 patties.
  2. In a medium size skillet melt the coconut oil or lard over medium heat. Place patties in the skillet and cook until browned, 8 to 10 minutes. Flip patties and continue to cook until fully cooked through, 5 to 8 more minutes.
  3. Serve immediately or can be kept for up to 1 week in the fridge.
  4. Enjoy!
