The Ultimate Healthy Chili Recipe

This ultimate chili will fill your bowl and body with comforting and nourishing warmth on a cold day or anytime you are looking for a great and simple meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs grass-fed ground beef or 1 lbs grass fed pork / 1 lbs grass fed beef
  • 2 tbsp lard or coconut oil
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 4 celery stalk, chopped
  • 2 large bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup of sliced mushroom
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 128 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 114 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups broth
  • 3 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne (optional)
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. 1. Using a large skillet melt the lard or coconut oil and sauté onions and garlic over med-high heat for about 5 minutes.
  2. 2. Add beef and garlic and cook until brown. About 7 minutes.
  3. 3. Add the mixture to the bottom of a crockpot. Add all other ingredients and mix well.
  4. 4. Let simmer on low in the crockpot for 6 hours.
  5. 5. Enjoy! Can be frozen for up to 6 months.
