Body Weight Set point works like all other homeost Body Weight Set point works like all other homeostatic systems in the body like…Body temperature  blood sugar, iron levels, blood pressure.
Temperature - 37C and a  range of  26.1- 37.2CThe body regulates these within a personalized range because stability means survival.Body weight set point works the same way.The body has a weight range, not a number that it feels safe to stay within.Your body and all of its system gently pushes your behavior, appetite, hormones, and metabolism to stay within that range.Several factors shift someone’s set point range:
👉Life changes: puberty, pregnancy, illness, aging
Hormones👉Environment : like emotions such as stress, sleep, access to food.👉Past experience like weight cycling and past trauma.👉Genetics👉Social determinant of health👉Dieting history and this is the big one weight cycling history💫So how can someone know their  set point?Your set point is the weight your body maintains:
👉without food restriction
👉without over-exercise
👉without micromanaging food choices eating
