She knew intuitive eating inside out. But the behaviors weren’t following.And she couldn’t figure out why. Here’s what I told her:“Diet culture didn’t just give you food rules. It rewired your brain. It taught you to ignore your hunger, override your fullness, shut down every signal your body sends — because if you actually listened to your body, you’d never be able to diet.And it goes deeper than food. It taught you to disconnect from your awareness entirely. Or worth.
Or morality.

It thrives  because people stay quiet.Research** on confronting bias shows: When one person challenges a biased comment out loud future bias decreases.When no one speaks? Bias increases.Silence gets interpreted as agreement.If you want to be a fat ally, do this:1- audit yourself of how you speak or think about your own body
2- stop commenting on bodies, yours or others.
3- challenge weight bias in social, professional and family setting.
4-practice body neutrality
5- don’t assume weight is controllable
6- ensure physical accessibility
7- amplify fat voicesAllyship isn’t what you believe.
