🧠 Here’s what I teach my students to see bene 🧠 Here’s what I teach my students to see beneath the surface..In world that tell women that being thin is the “normal” state of being for our bodiesWhen your client says: “I just want to lose weight”

they’re not chasing aesthetics—they’re chasing safety. That thought is most often a cognitive distortion. It brings you back your client into an old way of thinking, feeling, and behaving that’s familiar—even if it’s painful

It’s a thought their brain uses to soothe discomfort, even if it leads to restriction, body shame, or self-harm.This thought is a reaction from a nervous system that perceives potential danger, rejection and shame. What feels like resistance to your coaching…is often most often dysregulation. The idea of not striving to be smaller is perceived as a danger and their innate safety mechanism kick in.

Great health coaching starts with understanding that.Inside the Non-Diet Coaching Certification, we train professionals to:
* Spot these moments in real time
* Reframe them ethically, without triggering shame
* Build safety before pushing strategyThis is how real change starts.

Not with controlling food—but with coaching the nervous system.🌀 Ready to coach beyond the surface?

She told me: “I was using coaching against mysel She told me: “I was using coaching against myself.”…Not even one month into our work together, this client had a massive realization:She’d spent almost a decade using mindset tools to make diet culture feel logical. Palatable. Justified. To her and her clients. She was trained to believe her brain was the problem—not the fear of fatness, not diet culture, not the systems. And she’s not the only one.So many coaching certifications, nutrition programs, and professional trainings teach us to pathologize the person. To treat the individual as broken and the system as valid.Diet culture becomes the unquestioned backdrop. That’s how we end up weaponizing mindset work.Reframing real oppression as a thought error. Coaching clients to “accept” stigma instead of naming it.But here’s the truth: Coaching doesn’t have to uphold oppression. We can use the same tools—CBT, MI, behavior change models—and apply them in a liberatory, weight-neutral, anti-oppressive way. That’s what we do inside the Non-Diet Coaching Certification. We coach behaviors, not bodies.
No shame. No sugar-coating.
Liberation is the goal.If this brings something up for you I’d love to hear it 👇

Most coaches are taught to focus on food behavior Most coaches are taught to focus on food behavior or body image as if those are the problem. But they’re not.🧠 The real work?
Helping clients retrain their brain—so they can feel safe in their body, with food, and in their lives. One of my students recently has a profound realization on said this inside the Non-Diet Coaching Certification weekly office hour:“I thought we were up against our bodies… but I can see now we’re up against our brains.”💥 That’s the shift. Our clients don’t need discipline, accountability or new way of “doing things”.

They need coaching.
They need to become aware of the social conditioning that fuel their thoughts and drive their current behaviours.
Coaching that works with the nervous system.
Coaching that sees past the symptom. This is what we teach inside the Non-Diet Coaching Certification. We go Beyond The Food🌀 Want to coach at this level?

🧠 Let’s break this down as a coach.When a c 🧠 Let’s break this down as a coach.When a client says,
“I just want to eat better,”
they think they’re making a health goal. But let’s unpack this from a non-diet and CBC lense:
Here’s what’s often underneath:👉Cognitive Dissonance:
They feel anxious about their eating habits not matching their internalized health beliefs.👉Moral Reasoning:
“Better” = “good.” Their worth is tangled up in their food choices.👉Conditioned Belief from Diet Culture:
They’ve been taught there’s one right way to eat—and it’s probably not what they’re doing.👉Fantasy Thinking (dopamine trap):
They believe if they just “get it right,” everything else will feel better too.As coaches, our role isn’t to give them a new definition of “better.”
It’s to help them first become aware the fantasy that is “eat better” and how it’s impacting their well being so they can have the space and capacity to find their way of eating. There are as many ways to eat as there are people, and no one way is better than another. And while there’s no guide—no paper or PDF—that can tell them exactly what that looks like, there is one thing that can: self-trust.Self-trust is the key to breaking free from the illusion of eating better. That’s our mission with clients: supporting them in building back up their self-trust.That’s the skillset we teach inside the Non-Diet Coaching Certification. From food control → client insight.🌀 Want to coach with confidence—without co-opting diet culture?Join the waitlist—comment word certification and our bot will DM you the URL.Stephanie xoxo#nondietdietitian #holisticnutritionist #healthforwomen #antidietculture
Most body image healing work still centers one thi Most body image healing work still centers one thing for women: having to “like” how you look…Even “positive body image” asks you to admire the parts of your body that don’t fit beauty standards.
That’s not healing.
That’s just new pressure in a “politically correct” package.Reaffirming that women the goal is to “like” the way their book look.I don’t teach positive body image.
I teach body neutrality through a feminist lens.Because the goal isn’t to like how you look.
The goal is ro shift your belief system to believe that your body is a tool to experience life.➡️ Swipe through the slides to learn why this shift matters — and why it’s at the core of how I coach.➡️ Want to learn how to coach body image using this approach?I teach this inside the Non-Diet Coaching Certification. This is what it looks like to coach beyond the foo This is what it looks like to coach beyond the food…As you may have noticed my presence on social media has been lot less then normal in the last week and likely be the same for next week. Why?I’m doing deep work on it my new clients.Going beyond the food
Going beyond the weight
Going beyond systemic
Going beyond social conditioningGoing beyond the food coaching is deep intense and very powerful coaching. This level of coaching demand many touch points- voice memo, Slack message and zoom session. And that almost everyday.Me and my clients are on-boarding this new level collaboration and commitment to their goals.Together we’re all in. Collaborative coaching style. This is my zone of genious- deep & collaborative work
Creating fast track transformation and results.I LOVE doing this type of work.
This is my passion and why I choose to leave the safety of corporate career to become an entrepreneur. This is the life I was dreaming of and I’m living it.Feminist leadership and liberative coaching. My priority right now are my clients & my well being.Together me and my client are leading a revolution that will keep expanding and touching exponentially more women. You may see me less, but know that I’m here helping powerful women achieve their professional goals so that other people can be impacted.I’m working at the level where my work is expanding through others.Making all the suffering experienced through years of indoctrination in diet culture means something.
That’s for me a full circle trauma healing journey. And this is my purpose in the second chapter of my life.In the mean time a new podcast episode will be back next Monday 🥳Thank you for being here,Stephanie xoxo
